A Partnership Between CVS and The Egg Whisperer Makes ‘Ultrasound Kiosks’ Available Nationwide
Today, we’re announcing the launch of the Ultrasound Kiosk as part of CVS Health. Powered by The Egg Whisperer, pelvic ultrasounds will now be accessible at nearly 10,000 CVS retail storefronts in the US.
The idea is simple: anyone can get an ultrasound, without a doctor’s order and without having to jump through hoops. You log on to the EggWhispererUltrasound.com website, select your closest CVS, and choose an appointment time. When you arrive, you can purchase Egg Whisperer Pants from a vending machine next to the Kiosks, along with the sterile covering for the ultrasound wand. You enter the Kiosk and you’ll watch an informative video teaching you about how to place the ultrasound. After performing the ultrasound (with the help of artificial intelligence confirming that the images are taken correctly), the kiosk sends the images securely to Dr. Aimee in California. Within 4 hours, you have results back and an explanation from Dr. Aimee on what to do next.
It’s that easy. You have a diagnosis without all the visits, all the cost, and all the heartache. No more “Oh honey, you’re fine and you don’t need an ultrasound. Your pelvic pain is just part of being a woman. Just start the birth control pill and go on your merry way.”
Why an Ultrasound Kiosk?
Too often, I hear from people who have spoken to 3, 4, or 5 doctors about having severe pelvic pain since their first period without a single ultrasound. Their pain symptoms were dismissed for years. Had they had access to a simple pelvic ultrasound, they would have had a diagnosis and proper treatment to alleviate their suffering. Instead, the doctors say something to the effect of, “It’s all in your head,” and encourage patients to keep trying to get pregnant, or to ignore the pain.
No more. After having far too many people share this very same story, I knew I had to take action. I started networking, and connected with Stephanie Kay, the Vice President of retail health expansion at CVS Health. She explained that over the pandemic, they experimented with many different ways to do COVID testing, and had many kiosks they were looking to repurpose to better serve the community.
From there, we worked with GE, who manufactures most of the ultrasound machines in the US, and OMRON, who makes blood pressure cuffs, Zoom, and noHold, who has done a lot of work with Artificial Intelligence.
Together, we built prototypes and began testing them in the New Year. Christie Evans was the first customers in line at the pop up kiosk we first tried out in the parking lot of a Des Moines, Iowa CVS. Here’s what she shared on her Instagram account:
“So excited to try the Egg Whisperer Ultrasound Kiosk at CVS today!! The pop up was a little chilly, so it was great to have some fleece lined pants to keep my privates private and my hiney toasty during this quick and easy ultrasound! I can’t believe I was able to do it all by myself and Dr. Aimee wrote back in about 45 minutes to tell me I was all clear. My husband and I celebrated without me even taking those Egg Whisperer Pants off!!!!Thanks for this great kiosk, and the care that you put in to everything.”
Since it’s the first day of our launch, and I am so excited to get people out to CVS, I’m offering the first 100 customers a free pair of Egg Whisperer Pants when they sign up and pay for their Ultrasound Kiosk visit. Click here to start your order!
Prostate exams are coming
And, since it’s a big day for announcements, I am excited to share that next year, we’ll be launching a partnership with Chevron to offer all men the ability to get a prostate exam at every Chevron gas station all while they fill up their car with gas. Revolutionary, convenient, and available across the country! This really is The Egg Whisperer Way.
